My day is often full of people asking me questions and often either:

  • there exists no answer which is acceptable
  • or by the time they are done explaining the situation, the answer is self-evident.

    Not that I don't like answering questions -- it comes with the territory. But some sort of filter seems reasonable. So I have a roughly head-shaped chunk of wood with a face drawn on each side. (No doubt a fully animated mannequin would be better, but one uses what is available).

    Give it a try. It has proven amazingly effective. Choose the facial expression that suits your situation and just delve right into the problem. If that doesn't help go ahead and continue on to Jeff's Real Home Page .
